It was a hotly contested match between the two premiership contenders, with neither side giving an inch in the first half.
Exciting match-ups featuring some of the league's best netballers developed at either end of the court.
Harrow-Balmoral goalkeeper Kate Vickery had the unenviable task of guarding Laharum's Caitlin Story, Southern Roos' coach Ebonie Salter was head-to-head with Maddi Iredell, while at the other end of the court Laharum's Ema Iredell was doing a stellar job at goal defence on Brittany Keller.
It was the third term where Laharum gained their ascendancy in the match, extending a two-goal lead at half time to an eight goal lead at three quarter time.
Laharum co-coach Caitlin Story said the side's versatility was key to their success in the third term.
"We made a few changes which fell our way," Story said.
"We brought a bit more experience onto the court and moved Erin Mellington to wing attack.
"We're going to be a very versatile team this year. We're going to switch it up a lot."
Harrow-Balmoral gave themselves a chance at the beginning of the last term, scoring the first two goals of the quarter to cut the deficit to six. But Laharum scored the next six straight goals to put the game out of reach.
Laharum co-coach Erin Mellington said it was a terrific hit-out for her side.
"We haven't had a contest like that yet so it was good to see where we're actually at. We wanted a good game like that," Mellington said.
"We made mistakes that we haven't before for that reason, but that's good from our perspective. We know what we need to work on now."
Mellington said Harrow-Balmoral were a side to be wary of this season.
"They're a good team, they have been for years," Mellington said. "They'll definitely be up there again.
"They're very strong, their defence is really good and Bec Francis in the mid-court is really fit and quick. We love playing against them because we know it will be a good contest."
In other matches, Kalkee won a tight match against Swifts, 58-64.
Jeparit-Rainbow made it two consecutive A Grade wins for the first time since entering the Horsham District league, with a 32 goal victory against Taylors Lake.
Edenhope-Apsley and Natimuk United also had comfortable victories against Rupanyup and Pimpinio respectively.
