Halls Gap's Paper Scissors Rock Brew Co. officially opened on Saturday after more than three years of planning.
Live music provided an intimate atmosphere on the first day of business for the new venue.
Brewery co-owner Marty Schoo said things were "pretty steady" all day.
"We were a bit worried about everyone arriving at the same time but crowds were spread across the day with a few rush hours here and there," he said.
"The kitchen and taps kept up so it all went as well as it could have.
"We have been working on it for so long so it was just fantastic to finally see people in there enjoying themselves."
There was also a soft opening on Friday night for the owners to thank everyone involved in the process to get the business up and running.
"It was to thank our closest supporters as well as get the kitchen and taps going before we opened on Saturday," Mr Schoo said.
"We thanked our friends and family who have put up with not seeing us much, our trades who supported us through the construction phase as well as Grampians Tourism and Northern Grampians Shire Council who have also been big supporters."
Mr Schoo said he believes the business is set up for success.
"We're pretty confident we are on to a positive idea. The feedback we received was positive and we had a lot of people saying they can't wait to return," he said.
