The 57 person squad features at least one player from every team in the league.
The side will be coached by famed Wimmera footballer Steve Schultz, with Rodney Hogan as assistant.
Schultz said he was looking forward to training with the talented youngsters, and hoped he could impart some of his knowledge and experience to help them improve.
"I've always enjoyed coaching, I've coached plenty over the journey and now there's something about that under-17 and under-18 age group that I think will be a good fit for me at the moment," Schultz said.
"It's good exciting footy at that age, and you can tinker with them a bit and hopefully improve their footy."
The team will start training on Wednesday and a final team will be established across the coming weeks.
Schultz said a key competent of the early training sessions was to help the players bond with those who are normally their opponents.
"I think it's important to know each other, know each others names and things like that, then you can gel and have a better chance at playing good footy," Schultz said.
"The more we get them talking to each other and getting to know each other, the better we can play."
