The Warriors' captain started her career where she grew up in Maryborough, but quickly found a home at the Stawell Football Netball Club.
"It's a terrific club to be a part of, and everyone's really friendly and welcoming. I've really enjoyed my time here," Clarkson said.
Clarkson said she was proud to reach the milestone.
"I guess now for me, I've had three kids, and I'm back playing because it's just what I enjoy now. It's my outlet and time away," she said.
"It's something that I get to do to myself, and I love helping the juniors and playing with them.
"And soon, for a long time you're not playing, so it's good to be playing for as long as you can, while you can."
Clarkson was excited about the day but was wary of a tough game ahead.
"I'm just pretty lucky really. It's nice that my family and friends can come across and watch, with it being on a long weekend," she said.
"But, it's not something you really think about once you're playing. Once you're on the court you're just focused on what you have to do for the game, and all that about the milestone sort of goes out of your head a bit."
The Warriors lost to a new-look Southern Mallee Giants in the first round of the Wimmera league last weekend.
Clarkson was realistic about her side's chances this season.
"We're a really young side still. A couple of girls excluded, they're just juniors, and we're looking to build on their skills and hopefully get a few wins during the season," she said.
"It's going to take us a couple of years to rebuild a strong A Grade side I think and for them to gain the confidence and experience you need in A Grade at times."
Clarkson said she was looking forward to working with the younger players.
"It's exciting having a young team, and it's promising to see the future of the club," she said.
"We have some of the under-15 and under-17 girls training with us and then sitting on our bench and getting court time. It's great to see them develop and over the last few years the young girls have really stepped up."
The goalie said she was excited to be a part of a special day.
"The Good Friday game has been a really good addition to the draw. It brings a big crowd in, whether, in Stawell or Ararat, it doesn't seem to matter," she said.
"It's good for the town and the club to be able to showcase the netball and the football over the weekend."
Ararat head into the game confident after a win against the Warrack Eagles.
