Q&A with Toni Stewart
Q: Who had a strong pre-season?
A: I'd say the older players have led the way. Players like Jade Cross and Jemma Clarkson always have plenty of responsibility on their shoulders. Over the years they have set the example of how we want to play. Rachel Wood has been another who is looking in great shape at the moment.
Q: What are the expectations on the A Grade group this year?
A: We are expecting to be a bit tougher on the court. We can tend to be a bit lightweight out there so I'd like to see us hold our own a bit more and hopefully results will follow from that.
Q: And what style of play would you like to see?
A: Just overall toughness, both physically and mentally. We want to fight for contested balls, not to back off and just play tough and fair netball.
Q: Thoughts on playing the Giants in round one?
A: It is obviously one we would like to win. Not knowing them that well makes for an interesting challenge. I think it should be a pretty good game.

WHAT TO EXPECT
With some promising young players mixed in with strong experience, the Warriors should be able to win more than their two games from 2018, and maybe even make a push towards a finals spot.
