Stawell and Ararat Cross Country Club's annual Lindsay Kent Memorial Fun Run will receive a revamp in time for the 2019 running on Easter Sunday.

Changes to the fun run include a location change, the event will start and finish at the Stawell Town Hall and will be run around the town.
The fun event is open to all ages and abilities and features both a 3km fun run and 5km classic and schools and corporate organisations are also encouraged to take part.
Club president Peter Gibson said the club knows it will take some time to transition.
"We're now working with Northern Grampians Shire Council to make this a bigger and better event," he said.
"We know it's going to take a little bit of time to transition from the event we've had for 38 years.
"Even in doing that we're not losing the significance of the legacy that Lindsay Kent provided to the Stawell and Ararat Cross Country Club, which he was a founding member of.
"Lindsay was also a member of the Stawell Amateur Athletic Club as well and a past runner in the Stawell Gift, so there's a lot of alliances there."
Keith Lofthouse has been central to the nuts and bolts of the fun run set-up for the past ten years.
He said the fun run was formerly hosted at the Stawell Racing Club Car Park for the start and finish for many years.
"The Stawell Racing Club, on their biggest day of the year, has been more than generous, allowing us to use the racecourse Car Park for the start and finish over many years," he said.
"Some of our regulars will miss the old course, but Northern Grampians Shire presented the running club with an offer we couldn't refuse.
"This was a chance to build the Fun Run into something bigger and better and the energy in which Northern Grampians Shire tackled the project has been truly impressive."
Entry costs for the event include $20 for adults, $10 for children under 16, and $50 for a family.
