More than 140 players across the Goldfields, Wimmera, South West and Hampden talent regions were part of the selection process, all of which were under the watchful eye of second-year Rebels head coach Marc Greig.
Wimmera footballers Mitchell Jorgensen (Dimboola), Jack Tillig (St Arnaud), Matty Lloyd (Horsham), Jayden Wright and Luke Spalding (Ararat) and Mitch Martin, Gage Wright and Nick Caris (Horsham Saints) all made the cut.
The squad contains 23 players new to NAB League football, with a mix of 22 top-age (turning 18 in 2019) and 17 bottom-age (turning 17 in 2019) footballers.
There are also as three players returning as 19-year-olds, including Horsham's Matty Lloyd.
"It’s been great to see just how many talented footballers we have in the western region of Victoria," Greig said.
"It’s been an extremely hard task trimming our list to just 42 players, such has been the spread of talent throughout the region.

"That being said, we are extremely happy with our initial selected NAB League under-18 boys squad, with a good mix of experience and youth within.
"We’re excited to introduce such many new players into the GWV Rebels program for the first time and we look forward into developing the squad into not just better footballers, but more importantly better people."
The Rebels start their NAB League season against the Dandenong Stingrays at Mars Stadium on March 23.
