The Grampians' growing wine industry continues to be recognised in prominent circles, with one of Victoria's biggest events to come to Great Western later this month.

The Melbourne Food and Wine Festival will come to Great Western's Seppelt Wines for the first time on Saturday, March 16.
Great Western Enterprises will host the Great Western Underground Longest Lunch at Seppelt's underground cellars.
“We are ecstatic to be able to showcase the Grampians region's best food and wines in such an unique location,” Great Western Enterprises managing director Danial Ahchow said.
“It will be a feast of Grampians local produce, paired brilliantly with Seppelt award-winning wines."
Mr Ahchow said the event is a unique one.
“The underground cellars are like a hidden gem. There are a few who have dined underground at Seppelt, and I am sure it is an experience they continue to share for years," he said.
"We are told stories about the celebrations of years gone by underground in the cellars.
"Hans Irvine, who owned the winery at the turn of last century was a very well connected aristocrat who brought the likes of Dame Nellie Melba and Mark Twain to Great Western."
Grampians Tourism chief executive Marc Sleeman said events such as this are crucial in promoting the profile of Great Western and the Grampians as a tourist destination.
"It's all about raising front of mind awareness for the region," he said.
"We are really trying to target that Melbourne market, so events like this one are fantastic for that.
"We have a great heritage of wine producing in this area, and operators like Seppelt are fantastic advocates for the region."
Grampians chef Katie Leeke will lead a team to plate up top Grampians produce. Leeke has previously worked at venues across the world including Jamie Oliver’s Italian Restaurant in London.
“Here in Great Western we are surrounded by some of the most amazing food and wine. I have worked all over the world, the the Grampians region is where I keep coming back to," Ms Leeke said.
