Clive Palmer's United Australia Party is pinning its hopes of overthrowing Dan Tehan on fresh-faced Cobden man Joshua Wallace.

The Fonterra employee and stock trader was endorsed by the party for the Victorian lower house seat of Wannon last week.
Mr Wallace is expected to commence his role when he returns from an overseas trip in March.
In a United Australia Party press release Mr Wallace is described as coming from a large family of ten living in the Wannon region for most of his life.
The 26 year-old grew up on a farm and worked on several dairy farms in the area from the age of 14.
"This, in combination with working for several large dairy companies over the past seven years has given him a strong understanding of the importance of the dairy industry in Wannon," the release said.
"An avid North Melbourne fan, he works at dairy co-operative Fonterra as well as a stock trader and entrepreneur."
