Lake Fyans again was the only location to produce fish, with some nice pan-sized redfin between 30 and 37cm caught.
Trolling lures was the better option, while yabby bait also produced good fish. Darren Smith, with 14 redfin measuring 455cm, took the honours from Damian Keirls, 10 reddies at 321.5cm. Kelvin Wilson landed four reddies, for a length of 137.45cm, to claim third. Gavin Keilar took out the longest fish award, with a plump 45cm redfin.
An inter-club competition with Bolac Angling Club and Ballarat Angling Club is scheduled for February 22 and 23 at Taylors Lake. Stawell anglers' competition times are from 6am Saturday and 10am Sunday.
