The organisation has changed its name to City Heart Church of Christ as well as invested in three new signs on the exterior of the building.
“The main reason behind the name change is we consider our building to be in the centre of town, but we also want to be the heart of the city and an organisation the town can’t do without,” church pastor Terry Dunn said.
“The changes had been in the pipeline for about two years but once we got the city heart idea we knew that summed us up pretty well.”
The new signs feature new graphics from Stawell business Designs N Signs sitting on the backdrop of a photo of Stawell taken by photographer Karl Meyer.
Mr Dunn said while the church is “bucking the trend” by continuing to grow quickly, it was important to continue to be present in the community.
“It’s no good being the best kept secret in town, we had to display ourselves properly,” he said.
“For years we had a little sign out the front that didn't say a lot, this time we have gone all in with some colourful and eye catching designs.”
