The campaign aimed to raise monies for the much needed drought affected farmers throughout Australia.
Some establishments hosted their events for the month of August, while some decided on longer fundraising efforts.
The Great Western Hotel and The Gift Hotel chose to count the totals and continue to campaign for the remainder of 2018.
Great Western Hotel publican Danial Ahchow said he was absolutely floored with the amount of support this quest received.
“Our patrons ate an amazing 1652 “Farmer Parmas” and donated and extra $1170 in cash. We happily handed over $9430 to Need for Feed last week,” he said.
The Need for Feed is a Lions Club of Australia initiative commencing in 2006 and supports communities and farmers across Victoria.
“We had people travelling from Ballarat, Horsham and even further just to show their support to the Australian Farmers,” Mr Ahchow said.
“It became a regular weekly dinner for some, who would come back week after week and order the new flavour of the “Farmer Parma” our Chefs would put together.
“It truly shows that every little bit helps to a massive result – which we are estasic with.”
