Wild weather interrupted round one of the tournament, meaning the association teams will play one game less then the rest of the competition.
The under-13s will start of the new year against Castlemaine on January 2, and follow up the next day when they face Gisborne Green.
Both matches will be played in Stawell.
In the under-15s tournament, Grampaians Cricket Association will face the same draw as the under-13s, with both teams playing their respective opposition on the same days.
The association’s junior co-coordinator Jason Hosemans said the teams were eager to step on the field.
“They are all good and raring to go,” he said.
“They were a bit disappointed that they didn’t have a good crack at their first game because they got washed out, so they are looking forward to some competition and some real games happening.”
The under-13s have not played a full game yet as a team, but have had two training sessions to give them a chance to gel.
Hosemans believes that limited time together should not be an issue for the squads.
“The next time the under-13s will be together is when they hit the ground on Wednesday,” he said.
“They all play against each other in the weekly competition in the under-13s anyway from their respective teams, but this will be the first time they play together all on the one side, so they are familiar with each other and their games.
“A lot of the under-15s play together and a lot of them have had the opportunity to play together in previous years of country week, so they are all pretty friendly and know each other pretty well.”
Hosemans said he had one goal for the association heading into the first country week matches.
“We will be really happy if we can be competitive,” he said.
“It would be amazing if we come away with a win, but even if we can be competitive it would be great.”
