Weather Bureau data showed Edenhope was drenched with 45mm in 24 hours to 3pm.
Warracknabeal's had 36mm over the same timeframe. It comes after Natimuk saw falls of 35mm in the 24 hours to 9am Thursday, and Nhill 18.
Even higher totals have been posted further north. Woomelang had 73mm between 9am today and yesterday, which amounts to more than one third of its total rainfall for all of 2018 and its wettest day since April 21, 2017.
Bureau of Meteorology Duty Forecaster Peter Newham said we could expect more rain on Thursday night.
Mr Newham said a low pressure system is developing across the northern Wimmera and Mallee that should bring more rain, before moving away before Friday morning.
