A group of more than 15 dedicated netballers are putting themselves through fitness drills on both Monday and Wednesday nights.
Club netball co-ordinator Amy Hurley said it was great to see the club progress.
“We welcome anyone to come along, participate and join in some fitness activities ready for the new season,” she said.
Hurley said the plan to start pre-season was a continuation of the results from last season – when all three junior netball teams made finals.
“It was a such a positive sign for the club. Everyone is always looking to improve and this year our goal is for all teams to make finals,” she said.
“Juniors are the base of the club and for us to be achieving some great results with juniors is a real step in the right direction.”

The netballers train on Monday nights at Great Western and alternate between Stawell and Ararat on Wednesdays.
“We are working hard behind the scenes and an announcement of all our coaches will be soon,” she said.
Hurley said the group will train until Wednesday, December 19 – the last session will be in Stawell.
