The art will be on display in an exhibition on Thursday, November 22, in the Glyn Cashin Hall at Eventide.
The exhibition will celebrate the launch of Christmas cards which are printed from the resident’s unique artwork.
Pomonal Mixed Art Group volunteered their time to assist with the classes throughout the year.
Eventide Homes marketing and project manager Toni Williams said it was a thrill to see the enjoyment on the residents’ faces.
“The art program has given the residents an opportunity to come together and maybe do something for the very first time,” she said.
“All the residents will receive their artwork in a frame along with some Christmas cards to send to their families and friends.”
Ann Jenkins entered some pieces into the recent Stawell Show.
“Ann was thrilled to receive winning prizes for her entries. She won a first and second prize in the art section,” Mrs Williams said.
Mrs Williams said the Christmas cards will be available to purchase from the retirement village until all sold out.
“Prices will be $10 for a pack of 8 or $15 for the collection of 12. The money will be used to cover costs and go back into the program for next year for the residents,” she said.
