Police have confirmed two cars and a truck were involved in a collision on the Western Highway on Friday afternoon just before midday.
“An east-bound truck has collided into the rear of one car which then collided into the rear of the first car,” a police statement read.
“It happened at roadworks on the Western Highway, Ararat side of Stawell.”
The highway reopened at about 2pm, with traffic clearing slowly.
Earlier 12.45pm Friday, November 16
Traffic is blocked between Stawell and Great Western following a crash today.
Emergency services including the Country Fire Authority, Ambulance Victoria and police are on the scene after the incident at about noon.
Heavy traffic can be seen banked up on the Western Highway as emergency services work at the scene.
It is unclear how many vehicles are involved, as well as, the nature of the crash at this point.
