Ash De Clifford and Shane Field will coach the reserves Warriors side in 2019, hoping to return them to former glory of previous seasons.
Stawell won the 2016 Wimmera Football League reserves premiership but struggled in 2018. They won just two games with injuries decimating the side on a weekly basis.
2018 reserves coach Blair Hart will lead the under 17 side, leaving De Clifford and Field to pick up where he left off.
Stawell president Tim Williams said he is excited to have the two on board.
“Both Ash and Shane are great clubmen and they are looking forward to taking on the job,” he said.
“We are very keen to have them on board especially with the juniors we have coming through.”
About 12 under 17 footballers will make the leap into senior age football for the Warriors in 2019, a promising sign for both senior Stawell sides.
Field said he is excited with the potential for the side in 2019.
“The whole idea is to make sure we have a group of 30 to 35 guys who can compete well in the senior team,” he said.
“It is about developing the whole group of seniors and reserves and to strive to achieve our goals and not rest on our laurels.
“We are keen for a good year and to put Stawell back on the map where it should be.”
The Warriors have already started pre-season training.
