Cr Tony Driscoll looks likely not to stand for a third consecutive term, with a new mayor set to be elected.
Cr Kevin Erwin has been the only councillor to go on the record prior to the meeting that he will nominate for the position.
Five of the seven councillors ruled themselves out of the running last week.
