An Ambulance Victoria spokeswoman said the man was in a serious but stable condition with serious injuries to his head, ribs and hips.
Update, 3.45pm:
EMERGENCY crews have rescued a man in his 60s after he fell from a track at Mt Arapiles on Monday afternoon.
An Ambulance Victoria spokeswoman said paramedics were called to incident at 1.45pm.
“They received reports that a man in his 60s had suffered a fall while rock-climbing. He will be flown by air ambulance to hospital,” she said.
“He is in a stable condition at the moment, and has injuries to his head, ribs and hips.”

STATE Emergency Service crews are assisting a rock climber who fell at Mt Arapiles, near Natimuk, on Monday afternoon.
The incident occurred near the Centenary Park Access Track.
An SES spokeswoman said crews from Horsham, Stawell and Ararat were on the scene and required a high-angle rescue.
“It looks like a rock climber has fallen and crews are assisting with his rescue. Crews were called to the incident at about 2.15pm,” she said.
