Creators and organisers Elise Schwab and Russell Harris have returned to organise the 2018 event on November 2 and 3.
For the first time since the creation of the event, drivers can participate in a warm-up expression session.
Ms Schwab said 2018 was the first year the competition conducted pre-entries into the events.
She said 80 people had already registered their interest.
“Entrants have the opportunity to do two qualifying skids with best score counting towards the chance to compete in the top 20 finals,” she said.
The action starts at 10am Saturday with other activities also at the venue.
“We will have a range of children’s activities and also merchandising tents. This year we have also secured the services of food trucks and a licensed bar area,” she said.
The event has five categories – street and elite classes as well as women's, young guns and Pro 6.
Cash and trophies worth $10,000 up will be up for grabs.
Ms Schwab said visitor numbers were exciting last year and has predicted about 1500 spectators to attend at the weekend.
“We had a really good turn out last year. I have had even more interest this year than ever before. It’s going to be a great weekend,” she said.
Stawell Motorsports Club is located at 131 Burong Basin Road, Stawell.
Ms Schwab said residents were welcome to attend, with tickets available at the gate.
“No eftpos is available on site so we ask all the visitors to make sure they are organised before they come out on the day,” she said.
