Mrs Dunn said that in the three short months the committee had to pull the day together, attendance and community support were fantastic.
Earlier this year the future of the show was in doubt due to a lack of volunteers.
The committee, then consisting of just five members, held an emergency meeting to figure out what to do.
Since then the committee has grown to include 20 members.
Mrs Dunn said if someone had told her earlier in the year how successful the day would be, she wouldn’t have believed them.
“I couldn’t have been happier with yesterday. The weather was great, people were happy – it was wonderful,” she said on Monday.
“There were a lot of people here. All our sections were up and the crowd was good. Hard work and dedication pays off and the crowd obviously supports us.”
Among the attractions were miniature goats and a petting zoo, rides, horses, arts and crafts, a dance show, tractor pull, wood chopping, wood work, and even a couple of dogs from Ararat Adopt A Dog.
Mrs Dunn said the show would continue into 2019 with even more attractions.
