Club member John Bradley welcomed the community at the celebration on Tuesday, and touched on how being part of the Men’s Shed positively affected some member’s lives.
Stawell Regional Health chief executive Libby Fifis congratulated the community group. The health group has supported the Men’s Shed since it started in the town.
Stawell Men’s Shed member Terry Dunn recounted the history of the shed since its inception, when it officially opened on October 28, 2008.
Stawell resident Verna Pickford, a longtime supporter of the shed concept, also celebrated with members and residents.
Mrs Pickford said she had called on the services of the shed in the past and had also provided baked goods for members.
The Stawell Men’s Shed is located in Shed 8, 11 Smith Street, Stawell and is open from 9am to 4pm Tuesday to Thursday.
