The Stawell Quilters group has been busy for the last two years creating pieces of work to go on display from Friday to Sunday.
Show organiser Pauline Holden said hosting the event every two years builds the anticipation.
“Hosting it every two years gives us enough time to make quality quilts to give us a good show,” she said.
“There have been a lot more entries this year than for the previous show. We had to put in an extra row of quilts because we have so many exhibits.”
The show will be open from 10am to 5pm, with entry costing $5.
“All the money we raise is put back into the community. We wait until we see a need and pass it on. In the past we have donated to the hospital, schools, eventide, library,” Pauline Holden said.
The show will feature displays from the group’s members as well as some made from Stawell West Primary School students.

The students work regularly with a member from the Stawell Quilters group, with those works made in class to be presented with their own display at the show.
“We have a lovely bunch of ladies that meets every week and loves creating different types of work,” Stawell Quilters publicity officer Lois Johnson said.
“There will be two raffles and three traders selling quilts so it should be a great weekend.”
