CGLLEN approached the fellow community group asking for help to breathe new life into some “old and tired” karts.
“The karts were just not looking the best so we approached the Stawell Men’s Shed and they agreed to fix them up for us,” CGLLEN youth project officer Rohan Marlow youth project officer said.
The karts had minor upgrades including new tyres and chairs, a change of all the wheels and a fresh paint job.
“It was good fun modifying them,” Stawell Men’s Shed’s Alan Rees said.
Four karts were worked on in total throughout September.
The push kart challenge will take place on October 19 at the Golden Gateway festival.
