Mr Wood is known to many from his stint on the 2013 season of reality TV show The Bachelor.
Stawell Sports and Aquatic Centre members participating in a 12-week healthy living challenge took part in a early morning training session with Mr Wood.
The session comprised cardio, strength training and a motivational speech.
More than 50 Stawell residents attended an information session with Mr Wood.
Northern Grampians Shire Council community strengthening manager Naomi Goode said she hoped the session gave residents a better understanding of healthy living.
“I hope the attendees gained an insight into something which can be implemented immediately,” she said.
Mr Wood’s presentation focused on three key areas – moving more often, good nutrition and taking care of mental health.
Mrs Goode said Mr Wood’s message about “progression, not perfection” was a key element for residents to keep in mind.
