The Demons have far and away been the best side in the division this season, winning all eight of their regular season games as well as securing a comfortable semi-final win over Horsham Saints two weeks ago.
The Warriors go into the decider off the back of a memorable three-goal preliminary final win over the Saints.
“They are really nervous but excited at the same time,” Stawell coach Kerri Taylor said.
“Only two of the girls have played in a grand final before, playing in last year’s under 13 game.
“I have just told them to enjoy it and live it up. Grand finals are so hard to come by.”
Taylor said she is under no illusions Horsham will be tough to beat but her players will give themselves the best chance possible.
“Horsham are obviously the top team and we are full of respect for them,” she said.
“Our girls worked really hard against the Saints and deserved to make the grand final.
“We have to be really strong in defence and put pressure on their passing down the court. We also have to take chances and play the game out no matter what happens.”
It has been a special effort for the Warriors to reach the grand final, with “three girls in the team who have really never played netball before”.
Taylor said she has loved coaching the side this season.
“They are a gorgeous group of girls,” she said.
“They only got to play eight games this season with the way the fixture worked out but they kept training hard and gave it their all.
“I would also like to thank the parents for their support, they have been awesome.”
