Stawell Neighbourhood house was a hive of activity on RUOK? day.
Stawell Neighbourhood House coordinator Lisa Arnfield said the day was all about getting people involved.
“We had a range of activities for everyone to enjoy and people came just to chat,” she said.
Stawell Men’s Shed cooked a barbecue, members from Northern Grampians Shire painted faces and the Wimmera Regional Sports Assembly conducted games for all abilities.
“It is wonderful to see so many people coming together and focusing on the same outcome – mental health,” Ms Arnfield said.
Mark Bateman, chaplain to Australian Motor Sports, was available to talk to anyone who required support.
“We were very lucky Mr Bateman was available to come today. He has been working with members of the community,” she said.
“We are proud to provide a safe place for residents to come, sit and have a chat.
“If we can help we will and we can certainly refer people to the right care they need.”
