Stawell’s under-17 football team and 15-and-under A and B netball sides will compete at Murtoa on Sunday.
Victory will see them progress to a grand final with a defeat ending their respective season.
The 15-and-under B team will begin the day for Stawell at 10am, taking on Horsham Saints.
The Saints and Warriors have played three times, with Horsham coming out on top in two of those contests. A 26-23 win back in round 13 will fill Stawell with confidence it can do the job again.
The winner will go on to play Horsham Demons in the grand final.
The 15-and-under A side will take on Ararat shortly after at 11am.
The Warriors were clearly the second best team of the season and have been right up there with Horsham as a genuine premiership contender, but they had a tough game against the Rats two weeks ago in a qualifying final, losing by 19 goals.
They will hope to put in a better performance they know they are capable of and book a spot in the grand final, also against Horsham.
Stawell’s only remaining football side, its under-17s, will take on Horsham Demons from 10.45am.
The Warriors were outplayed by the Demons in the qualifying final two weeks ago but will have a stronger side at Murtoa this weekend, giving themselves a better chance to reach the grand final and where Ararat awaits.
