Ararat Bowls Club hosted 128 bowlers across Saturday and Sunday in one of the club’s biggest annual traditions.
Players travelled from towns as far north as Nhill and as far south as Melton.
“It was a fantastic weekend of bowls. It was great to see so many people travel from so far away for it,” tournament director Stephen Walker said.
“The weather was excellent so hopefully we will have some luck again this weekend.”
Teams were split into 16 divisions, with the winner of each division advancing to the finals to be played this Saturday.
Saturday will be an elimination event, with the losers to have their day cut short.
“We will start at 9am on Saturday morning and will run until we have a winning pair,” Walker said.
A prize pool of about $2600 is on the line on Saturday.
