Stawell Warriors will celebrate multiple premierships from the past at the final Wimmera league home and away round this weekend.

Prior to merging, both Stawell Redlegs and the Warriors won senior football premierships in 1978 in the Wimmera Football League and Ararat District Football Association respectively.
Stawell defeated Horsham 14.17 (101) to 12.13 (85) to snap a 28-year WFL premiership drought while the Warriors took care of Moyston 8.14 (62) to 4.10 (34).
1978 Redlegs premiership player Shane Rathgeber said he hopes to see most of his teammates at Central Park on Saturday to reminisce.
“It was a great win and it would be great to see most of the guys once again to look back on what was a big occasion,” he said.
Two Warriors netball premierships will also be celebrated on Saturday (1988 and 1998 B Grade).
Players or anyone involved in any of the teams are invited to attend Central Park on Saturday for the respective reunions.
