THE Western Highway has reopened after a crash near Dimboola on Friday morning.
Both lanes were closed a few kilometres south-east of the town for more than three hours.
The two-car crash injured five people.
One has been flown to a Bendigo hospital in a serious condition, while four others were taken to Wimmera Base Hospital in Horsham.
The highway reopened just before 1.30pm.

EMERGENCY services remain at the scene of a crash south-east of Dimboola.
An Ambulance Victoria spokesman said four people had been taken to Wimmera Base Hospital in Horsham, and one – a man with leg and shoulder injuries – was being flown by air ambulance to a Bendigo hospital in a serious condition.
The man was originally going to be flown to Melbourne.
The spokesman said the air ambulance arrived on scene about 11.30am.
A State Emergency Service spokeswoman said Dimboola, Horsham and Nhill units were also on scene, which has not yet been cleared.
The Western Highway remains closed in both directions.

A HELICOPTER is on the way to the scene of a crash near Dimboola.
An Ambulance Victoria spokesman said crews had assessed five patients.
“There is a man in his 20s who is trapped by his legs, who also has a shoulder injury,” he said.
“We are sending a helicopter for him.
“There is a teenage male with upper body injuries.
“There are two primary school-aged boys and a man in his 30s – they all have minor injuries.”
The crash happened on the Western Highway just before 10am on Friday.
The highway is closed in both directions.

THE Western Highway is closed in both directions near Dimboola after a two-car crash.
VicRoads has advised the highway is closed at Kornheim Road east of the town.
The crash happened about two kilometres south-west of Kornheim Road.
Eastbound traffic is being diverted through Dimboola via High Street. Westbound traffic is being diverted at Old Minyip Road.

EMERGENCY services are en route to the scene of a car crash near Dimboola.
An Ambulance Victoria spokesman said the incident was reported as a two-car crash at 9.52am on Friday.
The incident happened a few kilometres south-east of Dimboola on the Western Highway.
