A multi-purpose netball and tennis court will be created at Great Western, replacing the existing court which has been deemed unsafe to use for competition after this season.
$100,000 has been committed by the state government as part of the Country Football Netball Program.
This money will be put towards making a new court, which will be used for netball and tennis, as well as lighting for the court.
"All netballers know the dangers of playing on old, deteriorating courts so I'm delighted we are contributing towards the upgrade of court surfaces at Great Western," Western Victoria MP Jaala Pulford said.
"Our Country Football Grants Program is delivering the facilities needed by small clubs across country Victoria, including Great Western.
“I congratulate the club and Northern Grampians Shire on their successful application and look forward to seeing the new courts in the near future.”

Great Western Football Netball Club president Tracey McCartney said the funding has been a long time coming.
“We have been trying for four years to get the funding,” she said.
“Not only are our courts not very safe anymore but the lights just aren’t adequate either. This funding will allow us to create something great.”
The current netball court will be kept as is and used as a warm-up area before matches.
“On match days it will give people the opportunity to warm up on the old court rather than on the road like they have to at the moment,” Great Western secretary Danny Hoare said.
”It is huge not just for us but for the whole town as well.
“The old tennis courts are not in good shape at the moment either so it is a win for everyone in the town.”
Funds have also been contributed to the project by Northern Grampians Shire Council as well as the Great Western Football Netball Club.

McCartney said the new facility will help the club bring more players in.
“It is great for our recruiting going forward at the end of the season,” she said.
“Everyone will know we have a new playing arena which should provide another reason for why people should play at our club.
“We miss out on a lot of girls playing netball because of the facilities we have at the moment which is really disappointing. We will be able to develop so many more girls so much more quickly now.”
Hoare said the club hopes to have the courts ready to be used before the start of next season.
“We are hoping it will be in operation by March next year, but of course it all depends on various factors,” he said.
“It will provide us with so many different opportunities like night games, it will be such a positive thing.”
Jaala Pulford will be in Great Western on Wednesday to make the official announcement.
