Stawell teenager Hayley Little started her Positivitoys project earlier this year, where she makes toys containing positive messages and sells them.
The profits go towards paying for job skills courses for young people in her community.
Hayley ran a two-part workshop during the holidays to show children how to make the Positivitoys, which are soft fabric cubes.
Part one of the workshop involved 20 participants selecting colours for their cubes and cutting out hands and feet for the toys.
Between the first and second workshop, Hayley sewed the toys together.
Students stuffed the Positivitoys in the second workshop.
Hayley and Stawell Neighbourhood House donated the material for the school holiday program.
Hayley’s dad Greg Little said the two-part workshop raised enough money for another person to participate in a food handling course.
“Hayley has sold 90 toys in total,” he said.
“Through this Hayley will be able to sponsor five to six kids for a food handling course.”
The first food handling course will start at the neighbourhood house in August.
“This is when Hayley will start to see the rewards for her work,” Mr Little said.
He said people had been generous with their donations to the Positivitoys project.
