Dry July Foundation injects funds into Ballarat Regional Integrated Cancer Centre’s Wellness on Wheels project which delivers free massages within the Stawell hospital’s community centre.
The Foundation is celebrating 10 years of its booze-free campaign to help people affected by cancer and will once more continue its long-held association with BRICC, based in Ballarat Health Services Base Hospital.
Participants have directed almost $14,400 in funds raised to BRICC already this month.
BRICC extended its wellness programs to Stawell Hospital in September 2016.
BRICC Wellness Centre co-ordinator Simone Noelker said taking wellness programs, such as oncology massage, into other regional towns helped to reach more patients, who otherwise might not be able to easily access such services.
