THE Stawell Winter Woollies Handmade Market sold all types of handmade goods at the weekend.

These included knitted and crocheted woollies, fudge and hand-painted silk.

The annual market was at Stawell Neighbourhood House at the weekend and attracted more than 400 people.

The market not only sold handmade goods, it also held a raffle and ran activities for children.

Prizes in the raffle included local produce, rugs and wool.

Activities for the children included making pom poms.

Stawell Winter Woollies Handmade Market co-ordinator Alison Bainbridge said 30 to 40 people volunteered their time for the market.

“I would like to say a big thank you to everyone who helped,” she said.

“It was a fantastic event.

“We are very grateful for everyone’s time and help at Stawell Neighbourhood House.”

Ms Bainbridge said the market raised more than $2500 for Stawell Neighbourhood House programs.
