Culling competed in her first championships in Italy last year and will know what she is up against when she takes to the track in Switzerland in August.
The Culling hosted a fundraising event at the weekend to help raise money for the trip.
Culling’s mum Tanya said the night raised about $1800 for the trip.
“We are so fortunate to live in a small town with all the support we get,” she said.
The Marian College student continues to train in Melbourne with no race meets scheduled recently.
She said training has been going well.
“It is just final preparations now before I go to Adelaide for my final camp before flying out,” she said.
“Now is a crucial time to make sure everything is in order, I am spending 2-4 days a week in Melbourne training and making use of the resources down there.
“It is just about trying to maintain my fitness and looking after myself.”
Culling is currently being coached by Olympian and fellow Ararat product Shane Kelly.
She said it has been a great experience working so closely with him.
“I am going to the world championships this time with a new coach, so there will be some changes but I am just trying to move with the times,” she said.
“But it is not just him, I am grateful for the support from everyone and I will be representing the whole community in Switzerland.”
