The 2017 MCDFL runner-up started slow in their bid to return to the top this season. With a new coach, a new-look team and a new direction, the Grasshoppers have started to hit their strides after the first seven rounds, returning to the competitive Navarre everyone has come to know.

WHERE THEY STAND
Sixth place with four wins and three losses. Level on points with fifth and seventh placed teams.
MOMENT TO REMEMBER
Trailing by two goals at three-quarter-time and with just one win to their name, the Grasshoppers had their backs against the wall in their round five match against Royal Park.
A five-goal to one final term saw Navarre come away with the four points and kick off a run of three consecutive wins which they are still on.
WOULD RATHER FORGET
The Redbacks piled on the pain to go on and win by 87 points.
IF I COULD TURN BACK TIME
In that same round one game, key forward Ash Driscoll booted a goal in the first 10 minutes of the match but soon after tore his ACL. The Grasshoppers would wish to have their big forward playing this season.
LOOK INTO THE CRYSTAL BALL
After struggling early on, Navarre’s season is back on track after three consecutive wins.
The Grasshoppers will look to cement a spot in the top eight and continue to push on towards a top four spot, with their round eight game against fourth-placed Harcourt a chance to put their name back up as one of the top teams in the Maryborough Castlemaine District Football League.
