The Grasshoppers booted 3.4 (22) to 0.1 (1) in the first term to set the tone for the match. They didn’t let up in the second term, extending the lead to 35 points by half-time.
Inaccuracy in front of goal hurt the Bombers’ chance of a comeback, with Navarre going on to record a 13.10 (88) to 5.11 (41) victory.
Kris Brennan continued his good form in front of goal, booting another four majors to take his tally to 19 for the season.
Aaron Slorach, Louis Hannett, Luke Hendy, Josh Fowkes and Bryce Tickner were also impressive for Navarre.
The win sees the Grasshoppers move into eighth place – a season high for the 2017 runners-up – with three wins and three losses after six rounds.
