The Warriors were competitive for three of four quarters, losing the first term by one-goal, tying the third and winning the last by one-goal.
However conceding 17 goals and scoring just 10 in the second term proved to be the difference in the match, with the Warriors eventually going on to lose by seven goals, 55-48.
2017 club best and fairest winner Lisa Fleming was Stawell’s best through the mid-court while Jemma Clarkson was also strong rotating through defence and centre.
The win was Dimboola’s first of the season while the Warriors remain without a win in 2018.
It was a mixed day elsewhere on the court for Stawell, with the club’s B Grade, C Grade and 15 and Under side recording wins.
