Some Stawell businesses EFTPOS facilities were not working during parts of the outage, including Waack's Stawell Bakery and Lilies and Lattes.
Lilies and Lattes said during the outage they lost some business.
The nationwide outage started at 10:00am yesterday, impacting not only some businesses EFTPOS facilities, but also phone and internet services to an unknown, but significant amount of Telstra customers.
Telstra’s chief executive officer Andrew Penn said Telstra are still working through the cause of the issue that impacted the mobile network yesterday.
He wrote on Twitter: “we take our responsibility to keep you connected very seriously and are sorry for the impact today’s outage may have had on your services and confidence in us”.
This is the second incident this month for Telstra’s network.
In early-May, issues to Telstra’s network prevented people from calling the emergency number across the country.
