Injuries and player absences resulted in some lopsided results at Monday’s women’s day basketball. DAM Farming took on the Great Western Shoppe in the first game of the day.
DAM shared the scoring among the team while Erin Freeland had 17 points for Great Western.
Alison Holt was in form with 10 points. Ricksteel Fabrications took on Sneek-A-Peek in the second match. Jess Hodder continued to work hard rebounding against taller opponents.
U13 MIXED BASKETBALL
Bottom-placed Gold Reef recorded an upset win over top of the table Dragons, with a massive second-half effort seeing them come away with a 16-12 win.
Westside drew closer to top spot with a comfortable 38-20 win over Sweeny Todds.
U17 MIXED BASKETBALL
Comfort Plus secured an important win over Gold Reed to move into second place, winning 62-50.
Fourth-placed Pykes pushed Jack Rabbits but fell short by two points.
WOMEN’S BASKETBALL
Golden Girls recorded a nail-biting one-point win over Misfits while The Mystics defeated The Rockettes 37-19.
MEN’S BASKETBALL
Big Baller Brand recorded it second win of the season, easily defeating Ohio State 53-24.
Wizz Bang Theatre Company extended its lead at the top of the table with a 54-30 win over Arcadeon Gamers.

U16 MIXED INDOOR SOCCER
Yellow claimed a one-goal win over Black in a high-scoring affair, scoring six goals to five.
Blue defeated Green 4-1.
SENIOR MIXED INDOOR SOCCER
Vikings moved one game clear in top spot with a tight win over Fairy Tale. A hat-trick to Gary Wood secured the 6-5 win for Vikings.
Sabertooth Held off Norton Ford 4-2, with Matt Streets finishing with three goals to his name.
