He featured in Glenelg’s round six SANFL reserves victory over South Adelaide on Friday night.
Eckel kicked one goal in his first appearance for his new club. The Tigers won the match by 31 points.
Stawell’s 2017 coach decided to make the move to one of South Australia’s most successful club’s to further his football development.
“I’m trying to learn as much as I can over here so one day when I do come back I can bring with me some knowledge and hopefully relay that," Eckel said earlier in the season.
Eckel has played one game for Stawell this season, filling in for the Warriors while in Stawell at the Easter weekend.
The former Warrior is at the club with fellow ex-Wimmera footballer Chris Curran. Curran has led the Tigers as co-captain in 2018.
