112 children from 26 Auskick centres from the region including Stawell, Ararat, Great Western and Halls Gap took the opportunity to take their Auskick players to the game.
Great Western Auskick coordinator Will Bell said the opportunity to take to the ground in front of nearly 30,000 people is one they will never forget.
“They really couldn’t have picked a better game to be at,” he said.
“All the parents said the kids had a great day and really enjoyed the experience.
“It is something they will never forget. We are looking forward to sending more kids down next year.”
Highlights for the children included getting high fives from the AFL players as they two teams ran onto the ground to start the second half.
