The Saints gained an eight-goal buffer in the first term which proved to be the difference in the match.
Stawell managed to goal-for-goal in the next three terms but could not reduce the deficit.
The home-side went on to record a 64-53 victory.
Young Dakota Cosson was one of Stawell’s best in the loss, scoring 28 goals at an accuracy of 76 per cent.
Experienced Jemma Clarkson was also influential at the defensive end.
The loss sees Stawell go into the interleague break still without a win.
It was a tough day on the court for Stawell’s netballers, with the 15 and under A side the only one to record a win over the Saints.
