The under-18s will be co-coached by Rod Hogan and Jye Smith, while the under-16s will be coached by Tim Nagorcka and Brett Thompson.
Thompson said the under-16s were excited for the opportunity to represent their league.
“At the under-16 level in the Horsham District league I don’t think there have been too many interleague opportunities in the past,” he said.
“It’s an opportunity for them to test themselves at a much higher level and play with teammates they don’t usually get to play with. It’s an opportunity for them to make new friendships.”
Smith said the under-18s would face a tough test.
“Because we are coming into an under-18 competition it will be hard for us but we do have a decent squad,” he said. “Ellinbank has an under-18 age group whereas we have under-17s. In the interleague you’re playing with and against the best. It will be a good experience even for the guys that don’t get selected but have been training with the squad.”
