Damian Joiner, Sean Mantell, Naish McRoberts, Jackson Taurau, Tom Taurau, Sam Williams, David Andrivon, Cameron Kimber were all picked while Paul Summers was chosen in the 12-man development squad.
The squad will train together for the first time on Wednesday after delegates from each club pieced together a list with coach Shayne Breuer.
Breuer said representatives from each club gauged the interest of players from their clubs before passing them on.
“They know their players better than I do,” he said.
“Now it is up to us as coaches to work with the squad over the next couple of weeks to put them into positions and let them know who they are fighting against in those positions.
Then we can sit down and have some good conversations about who will be playing.”
The squad will train together on Wednesday nights for the next fortnight before having a run on Sunday the week before the match against the Bellarine representative side.
A final training session will be conducted on the Thursday night leading into the match.
An additional 12 development players will train alongside the main squad with Breuer keen to give them a taste of what it takes to play representative football.
“They are guys that we think might not quite be up to it this season but we believe they will be in the future,” he said.
“It’s not saying that they won’t be part of the interleague team if they perform over the next few weeks but its just to give those younger guys a go.”
Each club is represented by at least four players.
“We’ve had really good buy in from all the different teams which makes it a really exciting squad to work with,” he said.
“The clubs have been fantastic to work with and its great to see so many players put their hands up. I couldn’t been more rapt with what we’ve pieced together.”
Captains and vice-captains are expected to be selected prior to the first training session
