The renewable energy producer Neoen Australia owns the combined wind farm and battery storage operation, in Stawell, which is expected to open in August 2019.
The community fund aims to provide financial support to community projects in the Northern Grampians and the surrounding region.
Projects that align with Neoen Australia focus areas areas can apply.
The focus areas are: environmental sustainability; health and wellbeing; strong connected communities; sports and recreation; arts and culture; and skills, education and training.
A community advisory panel will oversee the community fund.
The panel will consist of up to six community members, with one local government representative and a Neoen representative.
The panel will meet twice a year to ensure funds are distributed in a fair and transparent manner to projects that meet the funding eligibility criteria.
