The Lions claimed their second win from as many matches, defeating Hawkesdale-Macarthur 22.18 (150) to 11.13 (79) in front of their home crowd.
The Lions led from start to finish, booting five goals in each of the first three quarters before putting on a fourth quarter blitz, booting 7.6 to 3.2 to secure the 71-point victory.
Great Western senior coach Will Bell said ball movement was where his side came out on top once again.
“I think the way we wanted to move the ball helped us get on top a bit earlier in the game,” he said.
“We need to work on being more accountable for our opponents, we still want to limit scores even though we are kicking plenty of goals.”

Fresh off a nine-goal haul, Sam Cocks booted another five majors to move clear ahead on the goalkicking tally.
BJ Birch-Burton kicked four as one of the best on ground while Tiwi Island recruit Steve Lorenzo had three.
The Lions finished the game with 10 individual goalkickers.
Bell said the recruiting they did in the off-season is showing now.
“Something we really targeted was recruiting guys who could score for us,” he said.
“We aren’t relying on our forwards which is great. It is a tough task for our opposition to determine how they match up on us because we have a good mix of smalls and talls.”
Bell said the weekend was another big step forward for the club as a whole.
“All three of our football teams won. There is genuine excitement at the club.”
