Motorists planning to use the Western Highway this weekend are being reminded the road will be blocked to traffic at certain times.

Instead, motorists will be diverted through the township of Bacchus Marsh as roadworks are undertaken.
The road will be closed at Halletts Way as a new pedestrian bridge is built over the freeway.
The Western Freeway will be closed to eastbound (Melbourne bound) traffic on Friday, April 20 between 9pm and 5am on Saturday.
The Western Freeway will be closed to westbound (Adelaide bound) traffic on Saturday, April 21 between 9pm and 5am on Sunday.
The closure is required to allow VicRoads to safely move beams into place to build a new pedestrian bridge over the freeway at Halletts Way.
The works are part of the new interchange, which includes new on and off ramps to improve access to the freeway.
Motorists should allow up to 10 minutes extra travel time when planning their journey.
